BUTTER BUG BOUTIQUE, LLC | STORE POLICIES 

 

RETURN POLICY

** You must have PRIOR APPROVAL before sending any returns or exchanges, please email hello@butterbugboutique.com with your order#, specific details, items to be returned, and any images that may support a cause to refund (i.e. - manufacturing defect) **

RETURNABLE PRODUCTS/ITEMS may be returned or refunded if ALL of the following conditions are met:

  • The item is in its' original condition (HAVE NOT BEEN WORN, ALTERED or WASHED)
  • Have all original tags attached, and in original packaging.
  • Toys and products must also be in its original box/packaging with no signs of defects.

*We will not accept returns that have not met these conditions.  Return or exchange of your purchase must be received within 30 days of your purchase date if it meets these conditions*

  • Returns will be processed once the item(s) is received, given that all conditions have been met. You will be notified of your refund via email. If your items do not meet the requirements of exchange/return, you will be notified within 2 business days via email. 

BUTTER BUG BOUTIQUE DOES NOT PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

  1. You simply did not like the style/material of the item.
  2. You decided you no longer need the item or did not like it.
  3. You received an item size that does not fit. 

 

REFUND POLICY

BUTTER BUG BOUTIQUE WILL PAY FOR RETURN SHIPPING UNDER THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:

  1. We made a mistake with your order - hey, we are human, and it happens! We will do everything we can to make it right! This includes: the wrong size was received, the wrong product was received, etc. 
  2. Once approved for your return or exchange, we will email you a paid shipping label. **Please check your spam folder if you do not see it in your inbox:)

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS:

  • Any item that you have requested to launder cannot be returned.  Items that HAVE BEEN WORN, ALTERED, ODORED or WASHED cannot be returned.
  • All sale items or promo items are final and cannot be returned, exchanged, or issued store credit. 
  • The refund process is between 5-10 days, once Butter Bug Boutique has received your returned package.
  • Holiday related products or apparel below:

HOLIDAY ITEMS:

Includes the following Holidays: Christmas, Hanukkah, Thanksgiving, Easter, Halloween, Pumpkin Styles, New Year's, 4th of July, St. Patrick's Day, and Valentine's. 

  • Holiday items including apparel, accessories and Holiday specific toys or products (books, stockings, ornaments, etc.) cannot be returned and are final sale. 
  • HOWEVER, YOU MAY EXCHANGE Holiday apparel for a different size if within the 30 days of purchase, and the item has not been worn, washed or altered (see above for full exchange policy) *tags must also be attached*
  • Store credit will not be issued for unwanted Holiday items

EXCHANGES:

  • You may exchange an item for a different size/style or print IF the item that you need is in stock AND your original item is returned to us in the same condition as it was received (not worn, washed or altered in any way WITH tags attached - see all conditions that must be met above in order to process an exchange).
  • You will be responsible for the shipping cost of exchanges UNLESS you received an item due to a mistake on our end OR the brand/manufactured. 

PRE-SALES & PRE-ORDERS:

  • Pre-sales and pre-orders are final sale and are non-refundable. Exchanges for store credit may apply only in the case of damaged items. 
  • Pre-sale orders and Pre-orders on are final and non-refundable. Cancellations and returns on these orders will be processed. Orders will be cancelled on unpaid orders one week after we send the final reminder. Partial payment plans (codes) made on pre-orders and pre-sale orders will be forfeited should a customer not to pay the total amount of the order.
  • Exchanges will be accepted only for sizing changes and will be based on product availability ONCE we receive our shipment and inventory is accounted for. 
  • You will be responsible for shipping the item back to us, IF approved, and will be charged a re-stock fee of $5 per item.

*Contact hours above are not the same as our storefront hours. Please allow 2-3 Business Days for a response to your email. We are a very small family-owned business and will do our best to address your concerns and questions during these hours only. THIS APPLIES TO OUR SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNELS:)

 

 SHIPPING POLICY

Shipping A Return or Exchange:

  • To request for a return, please simply send us a return request by email to hello@butterbugboutique.com. ALL requests must be approved before returning an item.
  • Only NEW items with tags and in original packaging are accepted for a return or exchange. Please make sure to return the item in the same manner you received it, new, and in original packaging.
  • Please send the item you wish to return in a securely sealed package.  Returns or exchanges should be sent pre-paid and insured by the customer.
  • Butter Bug Boutique is not responsible for items lost or stolen once it leaves our store, we have no control over carrier issues unless the package can be located by the carrier and re-routed to you or us. If any items are lost or stolen, Butter Bug Boutique reserves the right to not become liable for replacing said items or issuing gift cards or store credit. 
  • Returns must ship with a carrier who provides tracking and/or Delivery information (UPS, FEDEX or USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, USPS Express Mail). 

Re-Routing Packages:

  • Sometimes an incorrect or incomplete address is given to us, we will do our best to re-route the item to its correct destination HOWEVER, we are not liable for any mistakes made by our shipping carriers, nor do we promise that an order can be re-routed once in transit. 
  • If we are unable to get the box re-routed while in transit, the carrier will return the package to us.  We will then attempt to correct the mistaken address and re-ship it to the proper destination. There is a $5 re-route fee if an item is returned to us that will be invoiced to you (using the email provided on the order) upon receiving said package. 

Damaged Items During Transit:

  • Butter Bug Boutique, LLC is not liable for damages during shipment. We package everything with caution, but on rare occasions a package will be damaged during shipment. If your package is damaged upon receipt; do not open, take a picture and report it to the carrier (Fed-Ex, UPS, USPS). 
  • *We maintain the right to refuse credit of any return or exchange that does not comply with our return policy.  Please review our return/exchange policies or contact customer service with any questions prior to shipping a return or exchange: hello@butterbugboutique.com
  • The refund process is between 2-5 days, once Butter Bug Boutique, LLC has received your returned package AND it complies with the conditions of our return policy**

Processing/Shipping:

  • Orders will be processed in the order they are received. Butter Bug Boutique strives to maintain a fast-shipping rate of under 3 business days from the time the order has been placed. However, this may exceed 3 days during high volume seasons, Holidays and includes all pre-order items.  If you need to request overnight shipping, please contact us Before placing the order to ensure that your item will arrive on time. Once your item has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number. 
  • Shipping notifications are automated and controlled by the carrier. Delays in shipping may occur with the carrier and is not a reflection of Butter Bug Boutique, LLC.
  • If there are concerns with your tracking and/or shipment you will need to contact the carrier directly.
  • Butter Bug Boutique, LLC reserves the right to not be liable or responsible for shipping issues, or damage that occurs during shipping once the item has left us.
